Head of Analytics Engineering - Fully Remote

Are you ready to lead the charge in analytics engineering at SOFTGAMES? We’re looking for a Head of Analytics Engineering - Fully Remote to drive our data infrastructure strategy across platforms and empower our business stakeholders with world-class data quality and tooling (data access, standardization and documentation, dashboards, decision engines). This role requires operational excellence and eagerness to lead and manage change. It reports to the VP Operations, with dotted lines to the Principal Scientist and CTO, and is pivotal to pushing our games and business to the next level.

Your role:

• Lead a team of several data engineers to build world-class data and dashboarding infrastructure that empowers business stakeholders (analysts, product managers, marketing managers) to effectively use and explore data

• Collaborate with development teams to implement data instrumentation (including event taxonomy, tracking plans, naming conventions), own validation (schema checks, anomaly detection) and maintain high data quality

• Keep data pipelines and aggregations efficient and aligned with business and insight needs

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and scalability across analytics projects, monitor and optimize cost efficiency

• Own experimentation/AB test measurement/segmentation foundation and related tracking

• Build and maintain tooling to deploy and monitor machine learning models for human decision support and automated / algorithmic intervention

• Identify and execute opportunities for use of (generative) AI, possibly in collaboration with vendors

• Ensure compliance with data governance regulations

Your profile:

• 8+ years of experience in data and analytics engineering, with regular communication and interaction with business stakeholders; 2+ years of experience in people management

• Experience working with big data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, etc.

• Experience with productizing and maintaining data science in production environments, i.e., providing tooling to develop, deploy, monitor and maintain algorithmic and machine learning models for decision making and live intervention

• Proficiency in relevant programming languages (SQL, Python, C++) and deep familiarity with software development best practices (versioning, peer review)

Excellent English communication skills; proven ability to survey and understand business requirements and align analytics engineering and tooling with these requirements and needs
